Iceland - Visions of Earth

Iceland, luminous, solitary, boundless and magnificent; nature stretches as far as the eye can see, reflecting at times, scenes reminiscent of our innermost souls. An incredible blend of warmth and coldness is what makes this secluded world shaped by fire and tempered by ice, inhabited by a people both fierce and generous. Over the past two decades, Massimo Lupidi has regularly travelled to Iceland to photograph the island's landscape, people and natural phenomena. An artwork in its own right, this book presents a highly personal selection of full-colour images from above and from the ground, in which spatiality, light and contrast blend with evocative force, creativity, and abstract art to create a thoughtful and profound work devoted to those who conceive the voyage as a journey and want to live as protagonists in that adventure.
