The Coldest Blood

The year is 1918 and the Spanish flu epidemic has hit the world. A former army nurse, Ísóld, travels back home to Iceland after ten years for an important family matter. Yet while she wears her uniform like a badge of honour, no one knows her real self.

Ísóld is a vampire, and struggles to find balance between her profession, personal life, and the hunger for blood which controls her.

Everything about her homecoming tests that balance. Memories of the life she abandoned to pursue her career, the people she left behind, and rumors of a bloodthirsty beast which now haunts the snowy highlands of Iceland.
